Signed through to the end of 2025, Giroud joins LAFC as their newest superstar. He'll linkup with longtime friend and former France international Hugo Lloris, and fill the gaping hole that Carlos Vela left after leaving as a free agent in the offseason.

“I am delighted and excited to join LAFC,” Giroud said. “I can’t wait to get to Los Angeles and to play in front of the 3252 and all of the incredible fans.”
The Frenchman should slot into the XI, playing down the middle with reigning MLS Golden Boot winner Denis Bouanga on the left and Uruguayan starlet Cristian Olivera on the right. On paper, it looks like one of the most formidable attacking lineups in the league, one that should rival Lionel Messi's Inter Miami.
WHAT LAFC SAID
“It is an incredibly exciting day for all associated with LAFC to welcome Olivier, his wife Jennifer, and his family to the club,” LAFC Co-President & General Manager John Thorrington said. “Olivier has a clear hunger to win, which he has done consistently throughout his club and international career. His championship ambition and his qualities as a man and as a player directly align with ours as a club, therefore we believe Olivier will be a great addition as we continue in our pursuit of more trophies.”

Giroud will not arrive until this summer, pending the completion of paperwork. With there being an expectation that he will also be playing with France in the Euros, he may not make his MLS debut until the tournament ends. However, as he wraps up his final two games for AC Milan, LAFC fans will be patiently waiting for his arrival.
