Juventus star Alisha Lehmann has been handed a late call-up to the Switzerland squad after initially been snubbed by manager Pia Sundhage.

Lehmann has linked up with the Switzerland squad for the team's upcoming Nations League fixtures against France and Norway. The Juventus star had been left out of the initial call-up but has been given the nod after FC Koln midfielder Alena Bienz was forced to withdraw due to an ankle injury.

The news will be a boost for Lehmann as the two fixtures come just weeks before Switzerland host Euro 2025. The Swiss side badly need points in the two upcoming fixtures to avoid relegation and players will also know they are likely playing for their places in manager Sundhage's final squad for the European Championship. Switzerland's games are Sundhage's last chance to finalise her squad before the summer tournament.
