Thiswas due largely to batsmen taking up a defensive attitude when theside was reeling at 128/5. Sridharan Sharath and TR Arasu rescuedTamil Nadu from that position, with Sharath falling only with thescore on 245, having put on 117 runs. He made 69 off 203 balls,striking seven fours.The only other wicket to fall in the day was that of Ashish Kapoor. Atthe close of play, Arasu was unbeaten on 68 off 230, while MR Srinivaswas unbeaten on 4 off 42 balls. For Hyderabad, Narender Pal Singh took4-84.
